Tasers, Stun Guns, Stun Batons are all Electric Weapons.

Tasers and stun guns in Wisconsin statute that governs the definition, possession, and sale of electric weapons (including Tasers and stun guns) is Wisconsin Statutes § 941.295 (“Possession of electric weapon”).

Under § 941.295, an “electric weapon” is defined and it is a Class H felony to “sell, transport, manufacture, possess or go armed with any electric weapon,” unless one of the listed exceptions applies (such as sales to CCW licensees or for use in a dwelling or place of business).

Subchapter III of Chapter 941 contains the broader set of Wisconsin weapon laws that work together with § 941.295 for electric weapons.
